Beginner Fusing Workshop
We’ve Got two Different Workshop Packages to fit a range of Budgets.
Time: 2 hours
Number of Participants: Up to 24

Cost: $45 for a small project per participant.
$90 for a large project per participant.
Choose from a list of preset items to create your own fused glass artwork in our Beginner’s workshop.
No experience necessary. We’ll provide all the glass, tools, expertise, and firings. All you need to do is bring your creativity.

Tie-Dye Workshop
Get your Disco groove on! The process is so simple, you’ll become a glass tie-dye queen!
Time: 2 hours
Number of Participants: Up to 24
Location(s): Helios Studio or On-Site
Cost: $90 per participant.
We’ll show you the simple mix process that lets you blend colors together with that undeniable tie-dye look. You can choose from dozens of patterns and hundreds of colors to create your own custom coasters or tiles. You’ll make 2 designs total!
This is a perfect class if you’ve never worked with powders before. Beginner to advanced artists welcomed!
You’ll have the entire line of Bullseye powders at your fingertips, with all the knowledge you’ll need to complete 2 designs in this blast of a workshop!

Starburst Workshop
Learn to make beautiful starburst designs out of fused glass.
Time: 2 hours
Number of Participants: Up to 24
Location(s): Helios Studio
Cost: $90 per participant.
This simple technique yields stunning results, whether you work with clear glass and a simple design or play with color and more complex patterns. We’ll get you started on a 10 inch project which you can complete during class. If needed, open studio time is also available.
Vitrigraph Pull Workshop
The Timeless Art of pulling Vitrigraph, Similar to Vitrigraph made in Venice.
Time: 4 hours (2 hours to design pot a break for lunch and 2 hours to pull Vitrigraph)
Number of Participants: Up to 12

Cost: $120 per participant.
In this 4 hour single-day workshop you’ll learn about how to set-up a pot of glass to pull and play with as it drips out the bottom of a vitrigraph kiln at over 1500*F! After setting up your pots, you’ll have about a 2 hour break as the pots heat up for their top temperatures. Around 3pm, we’ll start pulling glass and exploring techniques in manipulating molten glass for about 45min. You’ll leave with your glass that same day!

Lantern Workshop
Time: 2 hours

Whether you are an experienced glass fuser or have never been near a glass studio before, this workshop is a great opportunity to have fun with a group, making custom fused glass designs for lanterns. Perfect for holding tea lights, LED lights, or a small plant!
All instructions and materials are provided. You’ll be able to pick up your completed lanterns the next day!

Winter: Christmas Ornaments Workshop
Time: 2 hours
Number of Participants: Up to 24
Location(s): Helios Studio
Cost: $90 per participant.
This Workshop is an easy, memorable, hands-on, beginner-friendly experience everyone can enjoy together.
Participants can make as many types of ornaments as they can fit on a 10 x 10 shelf using sheet glass, frit (crushed glass), pre-fired components, and more.
We’ll provide numerous ornament examples, instructions, tools, materials, and expert help participants need to complete thier projects. We’ll then fire them, and they will be available for pick-up a few days later.

Spring: Flower Suncatcher Workshop
Time: 2 hours
Number of Participants: Up to 24
Location(s): Helios Studio
Cost: $70 per participant.
You’ll be creating two flower panels to hang on the wall or in the window by assembling pre-made components. Your fabulous flowers will be ready for pick-up the next day! This is a perfect beginner project class for those who are new to fusing.

Summer: Cacti Workshop
Time: 2 hours
Number of Participants: Up to 24
Location(s): Helios Studio
Cost: $90 per participant using your container*.
$110 per participant using studio milk glass vessel
(*We recommend your container should be 6” in diameter or smaller)
Create your own glass cacti garden, which we’ll finish by “planting” in a piece of vintage milk glass from our studio collection, or in a container you bring from home.
Using the beginner-friendly freeze-and-fuse process, you’ll have access to the full line of Bullseye glass powders and a number of different cacti molds to create as many cacti that can fit on a 6” x 6” shelf.
We provide all materials, tools, instructions, firings, and vintage milk glass to help you create your own unique glass cactus garden. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in a few days.
Fall: Halloween Ornaments Workshop
Time: 2 hours
Number of Participants: Up to 24

Cost: $70 per participant.

'tis the season at Helios, whether you like spiders and mummies or candycorns and kisses. Come join us for this one night workshop and let our inner Dr Jekyl fly as you fill a shelf with whatever scary muse strikes your fancy.
Helios staff will be on hand to help you drape ghosts, stand up wolves or crank out a bunch googly eyes.
