In this class, you’ll learn to create tapered stacks of glass that, when fused, transform into captivating rings of color and unexpected visual effects. The possibilities are virtually endless, making this technique a wonderful playground for both beginning fusers and experienced glass artists looking to expand their creative repertoire.
We’ll explore the art of combining transparent and opaque glass, consider how glass colors interact and react during firing, and discover how stack placement, color selection, and composition work together to create striking designs. You’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to experiment, make thoughtful design choices, and develop your own unique artistic style.
To bring it all together, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind fused glass panel that showcases your new skills and creative vision. Transform your finished piece into a slumped platter or tray, or display it as a beautiful freestanding work of art.
