At Helios our retail, studio & coldworking, and Art Shop will be on full display. If you haven’t had an opportunity to check out our new studio, the Austin Studio Tour is an excellent time to stop by and see all the new and exciting things we have to offer.

Retail Space
Our Retail space still includes the entire Bullseye glass catalog, along with a wide array of kiln furniture & supplies and tools, and accessories.

Kilns
The heart of our studio is our 11 kilns, ranging from small to extra large and various depths, ready to bring glass creations to life

Open Studio
Our fully stocked open studio has expanded the number of free seats in our classroom studio, and we’ve also added additional bonus seats that are always available, even during classes.

Coldworking Studio
Right next to our open studio is our extensive coldworking studio with a range of specialty machines like stand blasting, loose grit grinder, wet saws, and more!
New Feature! Helios Art Shop
Because we see immense talent and creativity coming out of our kilns every day, we decided to create the Helios Art Shop, where our local fused glass artists can showcase their works and provide an easy way to offer their art for sale.

Come See Helios Fused Glass in Public Art (Nov. 8 & 9 & Nov. 15 & 16)
We’ll have exhibits of fused glass pieces fabricated at Helios by Helios artists, which can be found in public artworks in Austin and around Texas. Discover the different types of glass and the array of fusing methods that are used to create the pieces.

Helios Mosaic Column
Nov. 8th & 9th, 15th & 16th (Noon - 6 pm)
Be a part of the Helios Mosaic Column project. Before we start gluing and grouting, we want to lay the best foundation we can, and that starts with YOU. Whether you’ve been with Helios since the beginning or new to the studio, we want you to be part of this project by adding your name, well wishes, and/or vision for what you want this new space to be. All of your messages will then be encased in the mosaic and forever part of the art.

If you've ever wanted to try your hand at fused glass, a pot melt is the perfect place to start. We're providing everything you need!

In the main Skyline Gallery, we’ll be featuring “Democracy In Focus” Resistance Art Show
A show by the non-partisan Hands Off Central Texas that features the photographers and videographers who have been capturing the energy and humanity of the protests happening in the beating heart of Texas since the inauguration. Experience resistance through the lens of the visual artists of HOCTX, and take home a piece of the fight. You’ll be able to meet the artists:

Skyline Studios
The second floor of the Austin Art Building is home to Skyline Studios, a collection of professional artist suites.
Currently, Skyline Studios features 12 artists, four of whom are participating in the Austin Studio Tour 2025. Take the elevator from the Skyline Gallery to explore the studios and meet the incredible artists at work.
