Reactions & Inclusions: Expect the Unexpected
Fire up your imagination for a whole new dimension of fused glass.
This class focuses on two methods that make you want to experiment: inclusions and reactions.
We will teach you how to successfully fuse various objects between two pieces of glass. Inclusions
covered in this workshop will include brass, copper, aluminum, fiber paper, leaves, mica and more.
Reactions between two pieces of glass can be disastrous. We will inspire you to think differently
about these reactions, using them as a means of creating design. You will learn what makes the
glass react and different colors that react with each other.
Students will take home a selection of sample tiles to uses as reference pieces for future work and
a small bowl blank that you can slump at home (or in the studio for a small additional fee).
