Kiln-Cast Paperweights
Learn different methods for creating gorgeous glass paperweights in your kiln, including. Hemisphere and pyramid paperweights using ceramic molds. We'll teach you several important techniques that will distinguish your work from the simple "fill and fire" methods most people use with these molds. A window scene paperweight where you'll build beautiful scenes inside frosted glass weights with high-polished viewing windows. This class will provide students with the opportunity to learn and use cold-working equipment, including the tile saw, wet belt sander, flat grinders, sandblaster, and more. Students will create and take home two paperweights.
