"Sky Windows" - Fused Mosaic Panels

Made with glass that YOU design!

In this special 3 week class, you will complete a one foot tall "Sky Window" that is similar in design to those on display at Helios.

During the first class, you will create small sheets of your own designer glass using frit, powder, confetti and more. You'll learn several techniques not covered in any other Helios class.

We will also provide some simple tips for choosing colors that ensure the final piece "works."

In the second class, you will cut your glass into tiles and assemble your 12" x 4" panel.

We'll provide several design guidelines to help you create a piece that is balanced, cohesive and interesting.

For the last class, you will "grout" your piece and prepare it for the final firing.

We'll even provide you with a stand for displaying your new masterpiece!"

Please Note:

Each of the three an information-packed sessions is 2 1/2 hours long. To ensure that everyone has time to complete the project, we will start promptly at the start of each class.

As with all Helios classes, students are always able to complete work during open studio time (at no charge).
