One Day Workshop: Stack Bowl on Steroids

Our One Day Workshops" are single-session, three hour workshops where you get to complete a project in a single sitting - all while learning something new and enjoying the company of other fused glass enthusiasts.

The price includes all materials, firings, and unlimited use of our exceptional coldworking shop for finishing the project on your own time.

Perhaps you've already made a stacked-glass project – one of those cool pieces that starts with little pyramids of glass pieces that create stunning concentric circles and squares of color when fused. Or, maybe, you've never tried the technique yourself.

Either way, we have something new for you in this "guided project" workshop.

Typical stack construction involves layers of solid color sheet glass. Stack bowls on steroids turn up the creative volume by adding all kinds of prefused elements to the mix. In addition to solid color sheet glass, we will provide you with ready-to-stack "faux stone", stringer-striped glass, crackly irids, murrini slices and much more. Students will also get a hand-out explaining how all the components were prepared.

You'll complete project assembly during the workshop and, after firing, work at your convenience during open studio to coldwork your project as desired to prepare it for final slumping.
