One Day Workshop: "Sand Painting" with Frit

Our One Day Workshops are single-session, three hour workshops where you get to complete a project in a single sitting - all while learning something new and enjoying the company of other fused glass enthusiasts.

The price includes all materials, firings, and unlimited use of our exceptional coldworking shop for finishing the project on your own time.

If you enjoy vibrant color, organic design, and a dash of sparkle, here's a fun and spontaneous way to work with frit that will deliver results that will make you smile.

In this guided project workshop, you'll put gravity and glue to work as you create bands on color and texture to transform a clear base of sheet glass into watercolor-like imagery that can be slumped into a bowl, tray or hankerchief vase. Stained glass artists can use the techniques taught in this class to create fantastic components for their lead and foil projects.

You'll complete project assembly during the workshop and, after firing, work at your convenience during open studio to coldwork your project as desired to prepare it for final slumping.
