One Day Workshop: Powder Wafer Mosaics

Our One Day Workshops are single-session, three hour workshops where you get to complete a project in a single sitting - all while learning something new and enjoying the company of other fused glass enthusiasts.

The price includes all materials, firings, and unlimited use of our exceptional coldworking shop for finishing the project on your own time.

Many fused glass techniques (including our own "Sky Windows" class) borrow from mosaics. Our Powder Wafer Mosaics workshop takes a unique approach that allows you to create vivid designs that have a look all their own.

In this guided project workshop, we'll provide you with a wide selection of pre-fired powder wafer pieces (along with instruction and a handout on making your own) and teach you how to arrange and fuse them to create a complete bowl or tray.

We'll also discuss different finishing options, including clear-capping, fire polishing and matte finish surfaces.

You'll complete project assembly during the workshop and, after firing, work at your convenience during open studio to coldwork your project as desired to prepare it for final slumping.
